Health Guarantee for our AKC Springer Spaniels

In order for our guarantee to be valid, the following conditions must be met:

1. Seller certifies said puppy to be in good health on the date of sale. The puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 5 days of the date of sale. Proper documentation is required from a licensed veterinarian for this guarantee to be applicable. In order for the 1 year guarantee to be applicable the puppy must be micro chipped within 2 weeks of purchase and pick up.

2. The buyer is responsible for providing adequate shelter, proper diet, necessary health care which includes vaccinations, worming, and any tests or X-rays necessary for proper diagnosis. The guarantee is non-applicable if the Lepto vaccination is administered. This guarantee does not cover injury caused by neglect by the buyer.

3. If a genetic condition is discovered within the second year, we must be notified within one week in writing of the diagnosis and treatment or this guarantee is null and void. The puppy must be returned to us at the buyer's expense unless we mutually agree to different arrangements. At that time, the AKC registration must be signed back over to the seller. As soon as available, the buyer will be provided with another puppy of the same sex, quality, and value. A cash refund will be given upon the seller's discretion and only if there is not a replacement puppy available within 2 years of time. We will not pay for the shipping costs of flying another puppy to you though. That would be your obligation. Receipts, vet records must be kept to validate your claim, and we reserve the right to have our canine veterinarian review the records and he must be in agreement with your vet as to the nature of the disorder.

4. ALL deposits are non-refundable.

5. There is no guarantee concerning your puppy's temperament, trainability, size, color or worthiness for the show ring. We highly recommend that you attend puppy obedience classes and learn puppy training techniques. The temperament of your puppy will primarily be based upon your availability to properly socialize and train.

6. We also want you to know that if you find your circumstances make it so you cannot keep your dog and need to place it elsewhere, we will always be willing to allow any of our dogs to come back to our home. I am not meaning to say that I would refund your costs (no money back unless as per health guarantee), but we would help find the dog a loving home for you.

7. We are also in no way responsible for any damage, illness or injury inflicted by or to the dog once ownership has changed hands, AND we will disclose any applicable medical or behavioral conditions to the best of our ability, but we cannot be held responsible for any transgressions.

8. All guarantees are null and void if the buyer fails to follow any of the above stated terms.

9. When the puppy reaches the agreed time to go to his new home, if he is not picked up and paid in full, a charge of $10 per day will be added to the price (unless we agree in writing upon different arrangement prior to this day). The buyer is also responsible for any additional vet and vaccination expenses.

10. When buying over the Internet, you are automatically agreeing to these terms.

Lastly here is a bit of background. Our dogs are very well cared for. We are a family with pets that are in our home and not a kennel with dogs in concrete runs. Only when a litter is running around are our dogs ever in a kennel and this is to keep the puppies safe.

We keep our home and yard very clean which minimized any risk of disease. We also have all visitors walk through a bleach bath to help protect the puppies. The puppies receive their puppy shots and wormings before leaving us. And every puppy that is flown out of state is vet checked before shipping. This is a standard requirement of the airlines, but it also protects you as the buyer.

We worm our puppies every 2 weeks while they are with us, but we can not guarantee that they are worm-free. That is our goal, but maybe you're aware that a dog can be worm-free and make one trip outdoors and all of that can change. So we will not guarantee that there will be no worms, though we promise you that we will worm your puppy by the schedule that is laid out.
