Mandy's Mistic Shadow:
Misty is a beautiful, Black and White, Field Bred
English Springer Spaniel. Now that's a mouthful :) She
is AKC
registered with field champions in her line. Misty's 5
generation pedigree has 12 dogs in it that have achieved field
champion status. AKC marks the field champions in red so they
are easy to identify. Click here to see Misty's
pedigree.

Misty
is an ideal family dog. Inside the house, she absolutely loves to snuggle and be loved on. She is very calm
and quiet while inside, tolerating everything, even
the birds! But, when you let her outside, she changes
to wanting to fetch and play. Her athletic ability and
agility allows her to jump up on the trampoline like it
is not even there.. She'll jump up there when we're jumping and goes right along with
us. If
a ball goes up on the roof, she will try to climb the
ladder to get it.
She actually gets very intense when the fetching is
going on and you would think of her as one not to enjoy
attention. A dog like her would be a great camping
companion because, as I describe below, she does not wander,
she sticks close. She is so athletic too and a great ball
catcher. I believe one could easily make a frisbee dog out of
her. |
Misty is not
the type of dog to dart out the gate if you leave it open. She
respectfully stays behind it until you call her out. If you do
invite her out, she loves to follow. She is very
different than other dogs that I have known that will wander and
you have to keep your eye on them. When we go on walks, Misty keeps her eye on us and
checks back every 3-5 minutes to make sure we are coming along.
She even trots back and nudges my hand as I am walking along. My
dad had German Shorthair Pointers while we were growing up and I
really notice the difference! You came home from a walk with the
Pointers and you were hoarse from yelling for them. I told my dad he
has been torturing himself, "why don't you get a Springer?"

Overall, Misty is just a
wonderful dog for practically any situation. She does fine here in the
Arizona heat. We leave a baby pool outside for the dogs and she loves going
in it after chasing balls! As you can see below, her puppies develop the
love of water at an early age, too! |

Misty is great with
everyone, from little kids to adults. She loves attention, but will also
fetch balls till she falls over dead :)
|
| The other day, we had a family over
with a baby girl. We put the baby on a blanket in the yard, and
before we knew it, Misty was out there babysitting Abby! She would
just sit there and stare at her! It was the most precious sight. |

Jubilee (AKC papered!):
.JPG) |
Jubilee is related to Misty and found her way into our hearts very
quickly with her similar disposition. She was placed with us due to her love for chasing and killing
chickens. We decided to train this out of her and make her a member of our
family. I have had people say to me that we can't train this out of her for
it is part of her instinct, but I disagreed. I read about how trainers teach
dogs to detour snakes, and using the same principles, Jubilee can
now waltz right through our chickens and she won't even look at
them! We adore Jubilee as part of our family.
Look at her face!!! How could we
not give her a chance to live here with us!?!?

| She loves our home and our miniature horses.
Click here to see her on a cart
ride with a daughter. The father of the upcoming litter is our
Roscoe who can be seen by clicking here.
The pups are due any day and we have shaved Jubilee's tummy so that
the puppies can more easily find her "baby bottles." |
