We are planning on keeping 2 fillies, so this colt will be for sale.
Right from the get go, he is curious about people and comes right up to
us. One problem with minis is that sometimes testicles do not drop. He
is fully dropped already. |

Here in Arizona we do not need blankets
in April, but we were playing around with them and dressing up
the babies. Majesty did not like his at first, but after a
reassuring nursing on mom, he relaxed and went to sleep! |

Click here to see a video Majesty's first bath; he isn't quite sure what
to think about it. This is a real cute video from April 21, 2008.
Majesty gets a bath, gets a halter lesson, and more!!!
Every day, we lead the minis
from the barn to the front yard. All the other babies follow
obediently, but this very confident little boy would take off
exploring. Thus, he won the prize of the "first halter broke
baby" so that we could safely move him everyday. The movie
above shows his progress!

On the night of April 22, my
girls led Majesty back into the barn from pasture not knowing
there was a big incision on his forehead. Once under teh barn
lights, we saw the blood. I have been told that you must get
stitches into a wound within 10 hours to be successful, but if
the wound is on the head, your window is bigger (20 hours) due
to the increase in circulation in the head area. Still,
our vet only gave us a 50:50 chance of a clean healing. We have
all been praying for our little Majesty, and already, we are
thankful to see good healing occurring. The one caution my vet
gave me was to watch for small bubbles forming on the scar line.
Now on April 27th, the
wound is flat, the stitches are all intact and there are no bubbles
around the line of the wound. Click here

There are 2 lines of thought on whether to
vaccinate your newborn foal with tetanus or not. Some highly recommend
it while others say that if the mare has been vaccinated within 30 days
of foaling, you do not need to vaccinate the newborn foal. We opted for
the latter, but when we found this, we did give him a tetanus shot. He
is on antibiotics to ward off infection. Please keep praying and we will
keep a close eye on Majesty.

| Majesty's head has healed
incredibly well. The vet who stitched him up gave him a 50:50
chance of the stitches staying put and this wound healing up
cleanly. Thank you all who prayed. God must've been working.
This is just 3 weeks later and look at his head. It is
beautiful! I can't wait to
see what God is going to do with Majesty. When his mother went
into labor, I was praying out loud for his safe delivery with my
youngest daughter. I specifically prayed that his life would
honor our Lord in some way. His name was given to remind us of
that prayer. He has been chosen to live in Maine with a man who
uses his miniatures in a ministry for the Lord. This seems like
such a perfect fit. There are still challenges ahead like how do
we get Majesty to Maine?? Please pray for God to work again.
